Raw material screening and efficacy testing of functional animal health products service (Zebrafish Research Application Service)

Product introduction

(1) Using zebrafish animal model to build health food testing service is very advantageous in the early stage of new product development for the trial, error and screening raw materials. It helpfully reducing 95% of testing costs and shortening the development progress by 70%, and is in line with the current development trend of 3Rs in the use of experimental animals.
(2) A standardized zebrafish strenuous exercise device design has been completed and the invention patent of the Republic of China (Patent Certificate No. I736985) has been completed. At the same time, an observation model of the physiological effects of exercise on zebrafish and a model of short-term diet-induced obesity have been successfully established. The zebrafish model has been used to establish an efficacy certification method for animal health foods that “Growth and development testing”, “Body Fat Accumulation Reducing Effect”, “Anti-fatigue”, “Blood lipid regulation” and “Liver function protection”.
(3) Application examples:
A) Help manufacturers verify the efficacy of Taiwanese sambar and Australian red deer antler. After two weeks anti-fatigue model test, we can get results that distinguish the explosive efficacy of Taiwanese velvet antler, which greatly shortens the test time. Starting from the commonly used experimental animals: mice, the required test cost is only 1/5, and the amount of raw materials used is 0.1% of that of mice.
B) We also use zebrafish anti-fatigue model test (after two weeks) to test probiotic. Preliminary results have also been obtained, significantly reducing the manufacturer's product development time.
